Welcome to West Valley Family Church

6115 N 91st Ave Glendale, AZ 85305
(623) 872-1734

What's going on?

Our goal is to be a church that is irresistible to Him, a church heaven applauds. This is more than a sermon series; it is an opportunity for self and community discovery.

• Read the assigned chapter for The Irresistible Church by Wayne Cordeiro before the Saturday worship service.
• Attend the Saturday service at 6 PM to participate in worship and the Word focused on the current chapter’s theme.
• Join us for our Wednesday evening Bible Study at 6 PM for a chapter discussion.

That is what’s going on. Come join us for the journey!

Celebrate Recovery at West Valley Family Church
We're all dealing with something. We don't have to deal with it alone. Do you have a hurt, habit, or hang-up you could use some support with? Come visit with a group of people, like you, who are getting the tools and encouragement they need to survive and thrive. Struggling with addiction? Grieving the loss of a loved one? All are welcome. We start with a community meal at 6 PM, enjoy a united meeting at 7PM, and divide into groups at 8PM.

You are welcome. You are valuable. You belong at WVFC's Celebrate Recovery group.  Child care is availble for kids, K-8 (registration is required, see e58).

e58 Youth Ministry

e58 is based on Ephesians 5:8-10 (NIV):  8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord."

e58 is open to all youth and runs concurrently with Celebrate Recovery so parent participants can have a safe, Christ-focused activity for their children while they attend the program.

Click here to register your child for e58. The program is open to all church youth and CR Families.

About us.

West Valley Family Church is part of the International Church of the Nazarene. Founded in 1908, the Church of the Nazarene is the world's largest Wesleyan holiness denomination. Its DNA is found in the teaching of holiness, as emphasized by John Wesley. We affirm the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to change us from glory to glory to glory. The chief evidence of the Holy Spirit's work is the transformation of our hearts and conformation into the likeness of Christ. We have received what David prayed for in Psalm 51:10 (ESV): Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. You can have this life - a life where the chains of addictive sin are loosened, and the heart is set free from the laws of sin and death. Who the Son sets free is indeed free! Come join us on this journey as we draw nearer to him. We aren't working to be perfect, but with his help, we will be more holy each day.

As Nazarenes, we are:

As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in affirming the historic Trinitarian creeds and beliefs of the Christian faith. We value our Wesleyan-Holiness heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience.

God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called by various terms including "entire sanctification" and "baptism with the Holy Spirit"-cleansing us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.

We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission (a) begins in worship, (b) ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, (c) encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and (d) prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian higher education.

Property Use

God has blessed us with amazing property, including two football fields and a basketball court.  We charge small use fees to help defray the costs of property upkeep and development, but we don't want this to be a burden to the group using it. Want more information on using the property for your community program? Click the GET MORE INFO link below to send us an email.

To help defray the costs of upkeeping the field, we park cars for local football games and targeted stadium events. You can support commmunity use of the property by parking on our lot for stadium events.
